अम्बिकापुर - राष्ट्रीय अग्निशमन सेवा दिवस के अवसर पर एसडीआरएफ और नगर सेना के जवानों द्वारा स्वीप गतिविधियों के तहत मतदाता जागरूकता बाइक रैली का आयोजन किया गया। इस बाइक रैली के माध्यम से जवानों द्वारा शहर के मुख्य चौक- चौराहों से होते हुए शहर में कम मतदान प्रतिशत वाले क्षेत्र में आगजनी से बचाव और मतदाताओं को मतदान हेतु प्रेरित करेंगे। प्रभारी श्री शिव कुमार राठिया ने बताया कि 14 अप्रैल 1944 को विक्टोरिया डाक बंबई में सेना की विस्फोटक सामग्री से भरा पानी का जहाज भीषण आग लग गई थी। आग पर काबू पाने के लिए बंबई फायर सर्विस के एक सैकड़ा अधिकारी व कर्मचारी घटनास्थल पर भेजे गए थे। अटूट साहस और पराक्रम का प्रदर्शन करते हुए जांबाज अग्निशमन कर्मचारियों ने धधकती आग पर काबू करने का भरसक प्रयत्न किया। आग पर नियंत्रण तो पा लिया गया, लेकिन इस कोशिश में 66 फायरमैन वीरगति को प्राप्त हो गए थे। उन्हीं 66 शहीद अग्निशमन कर्मचारियों को श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए प्रति वर्ष अग्निशमन सेवा दिवस मनाया जाता है। उन्होंने बताया कि यह आयोजन सप्ताह भर चलेगा। इस दौरान फायर ब्रिगेड द्वारा विभिन्न कारखानों, शैक्षणिक संस्थाओं, आबादी वाले जगहों पर अग्नि से बचाव संबंधी प्रशिक्षण दिए जाएंगे। अग्निशमन सप्ताह के अंतर्गत नागरिकों को अग्नि से बचाव तथा सावधानी बरतने के संबंध विभिन्न कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएंगे। इस कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य अग्निकांडों से होने वाली क्षति के प्रति लोगों को जागरूक करना होता है। साथ ही आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव में शत-प्रतिशत मतदान हेतु मतदाताओं को प्रेरित किया जाएगा।
Sweep bike rally taken out by SDRF and city army personnel on National Fire Service Day
Ambikapur - On the occasion of National Fire Service Day, Voter Awareness Bike Rally was organized by SDRF and Municipal Army personnel as part of SWEEP activities. Through this bike rally, the soldiers will go through the main squares and intersections of the city to prevent arson in the areas with low voting percentage and motivate the voters to vote. In-charge Shri Shiv Kumar Rathiya told that on April 14, 1944, a massive fire broke out in a water ship filled with explosive material of the army at Victoria Post, Bombay. To control the fire, a hundred officers and employees of Bombay Fire Service were sent to the spot. Displaying unwavering courage and bravery, the brave fire fighters tried their best to control the blazing fire. The fire was controlled, but 66 firemen were martyred in this effort. Fire Service Day is celebrated every year to pay tribute to those 66 martyred fire fighters. He told that this event will continue throughout the week. During this period, fire prevention training will be given by the fire brigade in various factories, educational institutions and populated places. Under the Fire Protection Week, various programs will be organized to educate the citizens about fire prevention and precautions. The objective of this program is to make people aware of the damage caused by fires. Also, voters will be motivated for 100 percent voting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
