धमतरी - लोकसभा निर्वाचन 2024 के मद्देनजर कलेक्टर एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी सुश्री नम्रता गाँधी ने आज जिले के चुनाव प्रचार सामग्री मुद्रण में बरती जाने वाली सावधानियों को लेकर कलेक्टोरेट सभाकक्ष में प्रिंटिंग प्रेस संचालकों की बैठक ली। इस दौरान संयुक्त कलेक्टर ने बताया कि कोई भी व्यक्ति किसी प्रकार की निर्वाचन संबंधी पॉम्पलेट, पोस्टर या अन्य प्रचार-प्रसार सामग्री तब तक मुद्रित नहीं करेगा, जब तक उनके पास प्रकाशक की हस्ताक्षरित घोषणा और दो व्यक्तियों द्वारा अनुप्रमाणित न हो। उन्होंने बताया कि आदर्श आचार संहिता प्रभावशील होते ही सभी प्रिंटरों-मुद्रकों और प्रकाशकों को लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम में निहित प्रावधानों और दिशा-निर्देशों का पालन करना अनिवार्य होगा। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि बिना घोषणा पत्र वाले प्रिंटिंग आर्डर लेने पर छह महीने की जेल और दो हजार रुपये जुर्माना या दोनों भी किया जा सकता है। मुद्रकों की यह जिम्मेदारी होगी कि वह निर्वाचन के दौरान प्रचार के लिए छापी गई सामग्री की तीन प्रतियां और प्रकाशक की घोषणा छपाई के 72 घंटे या तीन दिन के भीतर जिला निर्वाचन कार्यालय में जमा कराएं। साथ ही इसमें मुद्रक एवं प्रकाशक का नाम तथा मुद्रित संख्या लिखना अनिवार्य होगा।
District Election Officer held a meeting of printers and publishers
Dhamtari - In view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Collector and District Election Officer Ms. Namrata Gandhi today held a meeting of printing press operators in the Collectorate hall regarding the precautions to be taken in printing election campaign material in the district. During this, the Joint Collector said that no person will print any kind of election related pamphlet, poster or other publicity material unless they have a declaration signed by the publisher and attested by two persons. He said that as soon as the Model Code of Conduct becomes effective, it will be mandatory for all printers and publishers to follow the provisions and guidelines contained in the Representation of the People Act. He also told that taking printing order without declaration form can lead to six months jail or fine of Rs 2,000 or both. It will be the responsibility of the printers to submit three copies of the material printed for campaigning during the election and the publisher's declaration to the District Election Office within 72 hours or three days of printing. Besides, it will be mandatory to write the name of the printer and publisher and the printed number.
