कांकेर - भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के द्वारा लोकसभा निर्वाचन 2024 के लिए कार्यक्रम जारी किये जाने के साथ ही आदर्श आचरण संहिता प्रभावशील हो गई है। निर्वाचन के दौरान विभिन्न राजनैतिक दलों एवं उनके अभ्यर्थियों के द्वारा चुनाव प्रचार करने के लिए शासकीय एवं अशासकीय भवनों पर नारे लेखन एवं बैनर पोस्टर तथा विद्युत और टेलीफोन के खंभों पर चुनाव प्रचार से संबंधित झंडियां लगाई जाती हैं, जिसके कारण शासकीय संपत्ति का स्वरूप विकृत हो जाता है। इस संबंध में कलेक्टर एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी श्री अभिजीत सिंह ने आदेश जारी कर छत्तीसगढ़ संपत्ति विरूपण निवारण अधिनियम का प्रयोग करते हुए इसे हटाने के निर्देश दिये थे। इसके तहत सार्वजनिक सम्पति से 971 दीवार लेखन, 01 हजार 262 पोस्टर, 891 बैनर और 818 अन्य प्रचार सामग्रियां हटाई गई हैं। इसके अलावा निजी सम्पति अंतर्गत 146 दीवार लेखन, 105 पोस्टर, 206 बैनर और 192 अन्य प्रचार सामग्री हटाई गई हैं। इस प्रकार अब तक सार्वजनिक स्थलों में कुल 03 हजार 942 तथा निजी स्थलों में 649 सहित यानी कुल 04 हजार 591 पोस्टर-बैनर हटाये जा चुके हैं।
