गरियाबंद - भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के निर्देशानुसार लोकसभा निर्वाचन 2024 के तहत जिले में मतदान दिवस 26 अप्रैल 2024 को दिव्यांग एवं 80 वर्ष से अधिक उम्र के वरिष्ठ नागरिक वर्ग के मतदाताओं को वोट डालने के लिए निःशुल्क परिवहन सुविधा मिलेगी। दिव्यांग एवं वरिष्ठ मतदाताओं के द्वारा मांग किए जाने पर मतदान दिवस को उनके आवास स्थल से मतदान केन्द्र तक लाने एवं मतदान पश्चात् उनके आवास स्थल तक छोड़ने हेतु निःशुल्क वाहन व्यवस्था उपलब्ध रहेगी। कलेक्टर एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी श्री दीपक अग्रवाल ने आज गरियाबंद के वन विभाग ऑक्सन हॉल से हरी झंडी दिखाकर दिव्यांग रथ का शुभारंभ किया। दिव्यांग एवं वरिष्ठजन मतदान दिवस 26 अप्रैल को टोल फ्री नंबर 1950 पर कॉल करके मतदान के लिए निःशुल्क परिवहन की सुविधा का लाभ ले सकेंगे। इस अवसर पर दिव्यांगजनों द्वारा मतदाता जागरूकता रैली का भी आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में कलेक्टर श्री अग्रवाल ने दिव्यांगजनों को प्रेरित करते हुए शत् प्रतिशत मतदान के लिए छत्तीसगढ़ी में शपथ दिलाई। इस दौरान कलेक्टर श्री अग्रवाल ने कहा कि लोकतंत्र के इस महापर्व में 26 अप्रैल को उत्साह और निर्भय के साथ अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग करे। जिले के सभी मतदान केन्द्रों में दिव्यांगजनों की सुविधाओं के लिए आवश्यक व्यवस्थाएं सुनिश्चित की गई है। दिव्यांगजनों के सहुलियत के लिए मतदान केन्द्र सभी जगह भू-तल पर ही बनाया गया है। साथ ही मतदान केन्द्रों में मतदाता मित्र के साथ व्हीलचेयर की भी व्यवस्था रहेगी। मतदान केन्द्रों तक पहुंचने में असमर्थ वरिष्ठजनों एवं दिव्यांगजनों के लिए निःशुल्क वाहन की भी व्यवस्था रहेगी। निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा संचालित सक्षम मोबाईल ऐप के जरिए भी घर बैठे व्हील चेयर की बुकिंग कर सकेंगे। कार्यक्रम में जिलाय पंचायत सीईओ श्रीमती रीता यादव ने भी दिव्यांगजनों को अपने मताधिकार का उपयोग करने ेक लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। इस दौरान समाज कल्याण विभाग के उप संचालक श्री डी.पी ठाकुर, थर्ड जेंडर समुदाय से यामिन मोहम्मद, दिव्यांग संघ से कोमेश्वरी कोमर्रा, प्रेरक संस्था के अध्यक्ष श्री रामगुलाल सिन्हा, अनुराग मनोविकास संस्था से श्री मनोज साहू, हर्ष संकल्प सेवा संस्था से सुनीता साहू सहित लगभग 200 वरिष्ठ एवं दिव्यांगजन कार्यक्रम में मौजूद रहे।

On demand by disabled and senior voters, free vehicle arrangements will be available to bring them from their residence to the polling station on the polling day and drop them to their residence after voting. Collector and District Election Officer Shri Deepak Aggarwal today inaugurated the Divyang Rath by flagging off from the Forest Department Oxon Hall of Gariaband. Disabled and senior citizens will be able to avail the facility of free transportation to vote by calling toll free number 1950 on polling day, April 26. On this occasion, a voter awareness rally was also organized by the disabled people. In the program, Collector Mr. Aggarwal inspired the disabled people and administered oath in Chhattisgarhi for 100 percent voting. During this, Collector Shri Aggarwal said that in this great festival of democracy, exercise your franchise with enthusiasm and fear on 26th April. Necessary arrangements have been ensured for the facilities of disabled people in all the polling stations of the district. For the convenience of disabled people, polling stations have been made everywhere on the ground floor. Besides, there will also be provision for wheelchairs to accompany the voter's friend in the polling centres. There will also be arrangements for free vehicles for senior citizens and disabled people who are unable to reach the polling stations. You will also be able to book a wheel chair sitting at home through the Saksham mobile app operated by the Election Commission. In the program, District Panchayat CEO Mrs. Rita Yadav also encouraged the disabled people to use their franchise. During this, Deputy Director of Social Welfare Department Mr. D.P. Thakur, Yamin Mohammad from Third Gender Community, Komeshwari Komra from Divyang Sanstha, President of Prerak Sanstha Mr. Ramgulal Sinha, Mr. Manoj Sahu from Anurag Manovikas Sanstha, Sunita Sahu from Harsh Sankalp Seva Sanstha. Including about 200 seniors and disabled people were present in the program.
