कोरबा - लोकसभा निर्वाचन 2024 के दौरान जिले के अनिवार्य श्रेणी के मतदाताओं को ईडीसी एवं पोस्टल बैलेट के माध्यम से मतदान की सुविधा दिलाने हेतु नियुक्त नोडल अधिकारियों को प्रशिक्षण प्रदान की गई। कलेक्ट्रेट सभाकक्ष में आयोजित प्रशिक्षण में जिला स्तरीय मास्टर ट्रेनर डॉ एम एम जोशी द्वारा उपस्थित नोडल अधिकारियों को इस संबंध में विस्तृत जानकारी दी। इस अवसर पर अपर कलेक्टर श्री दिनेश नाग, संयुक्त कलेक्टर श्री मनोज कुमार, जिला सांख्यिकी अधिकारी श्री मोहन सिंह कंवर, उप जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी श्रीमती सीमा पात्रे, डिप्टी कलेक्टर श्री तुलाराम भारद्वाज, श्री गौतम कुमार, सभी एआरओ, पुलिस विभाग, डाक विभाग, बिजली, स्वास्थ्य सहित अन्य विभाग के अधिकारी कर्मचारी उपस्थित थे। प्रशिक्षण में बताया गया कि अनिवार्य सेवाओं में तैनात व्यक्तियों की श्रेणी में अनुपस्थित मतदाताओं के लिए चुनावी कर्तव्य प्रमाण पत्र (ईडीसी) एवं डाक-मतपत्र के माध्यम से मतदान कराया जाएगा। सर्विस वोटिंग की सुविधा चुनाव ड्यूटी में तैनात कर्मचारियों-अधिकारियों, सेना या पैरा मिलिट्री से जुड़े जवानो को मिलती थी। साथ ही बिजली-पानी, रोडवेज-मेट्रो, डेयरी, फायर फाइटर, चिकित्सा शिक्षा विभाग और चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य विभाग के कर्मचारियों को इसमें शामिल किया गया है। संबंधित विभागों द्वारा उपलब्ध कराए गए ऐसे कर्मचारियों की सूची के आधार पर ऐसे कर्मचारी जिनकी वोटिंग के दिन ड्यूटी रहेगी और वे उस दिन वोट देने से वंचित रह सकते हैं। उन्हें रिटर्निंग अधिकारी द्वारा फॉर्म 12-डी जारी किया जाएगा और उन्हें ईडीसी/बैलेट पेपर के जरिए वोटिंग की सुविधा फैसिलिटेशन सेंटर पर दी जाएगी।
Training given on voting through EDC and postal ballot
Korba - During the Lok Sabha elections 2024, training was provided to the nodal officers appointed to provide voting facilities to the essential category voters of the district through EDC and postal ballot. District level master trainer Dr. MM Joshi gave detailed information in this regard to the nodal officers present in the training organized in the Collectorate meeting room. On this occasion, Additional Collector Mr. Dinesh Nag, Joint Collector Mr. Manoj Kumar, District Statistics Officer Mr. Mohan Singh Kanwar, Deputy District Election Officer Mrs. Seema Patre, Deputy Collector Mr. Tularam Bhardwaj, Mr. Gautam Kumar, all AROs, Police Department, Postal Department, Officers and employees of electricity, health and other departments were present. It was told in the training that for absentee voters in the category of persons deployed in essential services, voting will be conducted through Electoral Duty Certificate (EDC) and postal ballot. The facility of service voting was available to employees-officers posted on election duty, soldiers associated with army or para military. Also, employees of electricity-water, roadways-metro, dairy, fire fighter, medical education department and medical and health department have been included in it. Based on the list of such employees provided by the concerned departments, such employees who will be on duty on the day of voting may be deprived of voting on that day. They will be issued Form 12-D by the Returning Officer and they will be given the facility to vote through EDC/ballot paper at the Facilitation Centre.
