सूरजपुर - अनुपस्थित श्रेणी अनिवार्य सेवाओं के मतदाताओं को डाक मतपत्र की सुविधा उपलब्ध कराने के संबंध में आज जिला संयुक्त कार्यालय के सभा कक्ष बैठक ली गई। जिसमें भारत निर्वाचन आयोग की अधिसूचना के तहत रेलवे ट्रांसपोर्ट सर्विस, प्राधिकृत मीडिया कर्मी (जिन्हे लोक सभा आम निर्वाचन 2024 मतदान और मतगणना क्षेत्र हेतु प्राधिकार पत्र जारी किया गया है), विद्युत विभाग, बीएसएनएल, पोस्ट एंड टेलीग्राम, दूरदर्शन, ऑल इंडिया रेडियो, स्टेट मिल्क यूनियन, को ऑपरेटिव सोसाइटी, हेल्थ डिपार्टमेंट और फुड कॉपोरेशन को अनिवार्य सेवा के रूप में अधिसूचित किया गया है। आयोग के निर्देश के परिपालन में संबंधित विभाग के लिये नोडल नियुक्त किया गया है। बैठक में  इन संबंधित अधिकारियों को भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के आवश्यक दिशा-निर्देशों से अवगत कराया गया। इसके साथ ही व्यवस्थित कार्य योजना बनाकर डाक मतपत्र की अग्रिम कार्यवाही के लिए निर्देशित किया गया। निर्वाचन दिवस के दिन निर्वाचन गतिविधियों को कवरेज करने वाले प्राधिकृत मीडिया कर्मियों को डाक मतपत्र के माध्यम से मतदान की सुविधा उपलब्ध की जा रही है। भारत निर्वाचन आयोग नई दिल्ली द्वारा जारी अधिसूचना के अनुसार वे मीडिया कर्मी जिन्हें मतदान दिवस के दिन की गतिविधियों के कवरेज के लिए निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा पास जारी किया गया है, जिसमें इलेक्ट्रॉनिक व प्रिंट मीडिया के पत्रकार बंधु शामिल हैं, उन्हे अनिवार्य सेवा के रूप में अधिसूचित किया गया है। जिसमें अनुपस्थित श्रेणी अनिवार्य सेवाओं के मतदाताओं को डाक मतपत्र की सुविधा उपलब्ध कराने हेतु दिशा-निर्देश प्राप्त हुआ है। प्राधिकृत मीडिया कर्मी जो डाक मतपत्र के माध्यम से मतदान करना चाहते हैं, उन्हें प्रारूप 12 (घ) भरकर कार्यालय कलेक्टर पोस्टल बैलेट शाखा, कक्ष क्रमांक बी-08 में 17 अप्रैल 2024 तक जमा कराना है। बैठक में पोस्टल बैलट नोडल अधिकारी श्रीमती शिवानी जयसवाल, श्री अलेक्जेण्डर केरकेट्टा (जिला सांख्यिकी अधिकारी) व अन्य संबंधित अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।

Meeting taken regarding providing postal ballot facility to voters

Surajpur - A meeting was held today in the meeting room of the District Joint Office regarding providing the facility of postal ballot to the voters of absentee category essential services. In which, under the notification of the Election Commission of India, Railway Transport Service, Authorized Media Personnel (who have been issued authorization letter for Lok Sabha General Election 2024 polling and counting area), Electricity Department, BSNL, Post and Telegram, Doordarshan, All India Radio, State Milk Union, Co-operative Society, Health Department and Food Corporation have been notified as essential services. In compliance with the instructions of the Commission, a nodal has been appointed for the concerned department. In the meeting, these concerned officers were informed about the necessary guidelines of the Election Commission of India. Along with this, a systematic action plan was made and instructions were given for the advance processing of postal ballot. The facility of voting through postal ballot is being provided to authorized media personnel covering election activities on Election Day. According to the notification issued by the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, those media personnel who have been issued passes by the Election Commission for coverage of voting day activities, which includes journalists of electronic and print media, are required to perform the mandatory service. Has been notified. In which guidelines have been received to provide the facility of postal ballot to the voters of absentee category essential services. Authorized media persons who wish to vote through postal ballot have to fill Form 12 (D) and submit it to the Office of the Collector Postal Ballot Branch, Room No. B-08 by 17 April 2024. Postal Ballot Nodal Officer Mrs. Shivani Jaiswal, Mr. Alexander Kerketta (District Statistics Officer) and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
