कांकेर - आगामी लोकसभा आम निर्वाचन-2024 में जिले में मतदाताओं की अधिक से अधिक सहभागिता के लिए मतदाता जागरूकता कार्यक्रम चलाये जा रहे हैं। इसी क्रम में आज स्वीप कोर कमेटी की बैठक कलेक्टर एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी श्री अभिजीत सिंह की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित की गई। उन्होंने पिछले विधानसभा निर्वाचन के दौरान मतदान का प्रतिशत कम वाले केन्द्रों का चिन्हांकन कर वोटिंग का प्रतिशत बढ़ाने हेतु रणनीति बनाने के निर्देश दिए। कलेक्टर ने ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में स्थित मतदान केन्द्रों में 70 प्रतिशत से कम तथा शहरी क्षेत्रों के बूथों में 65 प्रतिशत से कम वोटिंग वाले मतदान केन्द्रों का चिन्हांकन कर वहां के मतदाताओं को जागरूक करने विशेष अभियान चलाने के लिए स्वीप समिति के अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया।कलेक्टर श्री सिंह ने आज दोपहर 12 बजे से आयोजित बैठक में जिले के मतदाताओं को जागरूक करने और शत-प्रतिशत मतदान कराने के उद्देश्य से अभियानपूर्वक गतिविधियां संचालित करने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि मतदान के दौरान गर्मी के मौसम को देखते हुए सभी पोलिंग बूथों में छाया और पेयजल की अनिवार्य रूप से व्यवस्था की जाए। साथ ही मतदान केन्द्रों में दिव्यांग मतदाताओं के लिए व्हील चेयर जरूर रखें। इसके अलावा भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के निर्देशानुसार 85 से अधिक आयु वर्ग तथा 40 प्रतिशत से अधिक दिव्यांगता वाले मतदाताओं का चिन्हांकन किया जाए, जिससे उनके घर पर जाकर वोटिंग की सुविधा मुहैया कराई जा सके। उन्होंने सेक्टर अधिकारियों के माध्यम से प्रत्येक पोलिंग बूथ में न्यूनतम आवश्यक सुविधाएं जैसे- पेयजल, छाया, रैम्प, बिजली सहित अन्य जरूरी सुविधाओं का भौतिक सत्यापन कराने के निर्देश दिए। कलेक्टर ने स्कूल एवं कॉलेजों के विद्यार्थियों की वार्षिक परीक्षाओं को दृष्टिगत रखते हुए स्वीप कार्यक्रम आयोजित करने हेतु निर्देशित किया। इसके पहले, जिला पंचायत के सीईओ एवं स्वीप के नोडल अधिकारी श्री सुमित अग्रवाल ने संबंधित विभागों के अधिकारियों को कहा कि आगामी लोकसभा निर्वाचन में मतदान का प्रतिशत पिछले विधानसभा निर्वाचन से कम न होने पाए, इस हेतु आवश्यक प्रयास सुनिश्चित किया जाए। विशेष तौर पर शहरी क्षेत्रों में मतदाता जागरूकता अभियान चलाकर मतदाताओं को जागरूक करें। उन्होंने पिछले विधानसभा निर्वाचन की तर्ज पर आदर्श मतदान केन्द्रों व अन्य बूथों में विशेष रूप से सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराने तथा स्काउट गाईड्स और एनएसएस के कैडेट्स व मतदाता मित्रों की सेवाएं लेने की बात कही। बैठक के अंत में कलेक्टर एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने उपस्थित अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों को लोकतांत्रिक परम्पराओं की मर्यादा का पालन करते हुए स्वतंत्र, निष्पक्ष और शांतिपूर्ण मतदान करने एवं धर्म, वर्ग, जाति, समुदाय, भाषा व अन्य किसी प्रलोभन से प्रभावित हुए बिना सभी निर्वाचन में भाग लेकर अनिवार्य रूप से मतदान करने की शपथ दिलाई। इस अवसर पर उप जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी श्री अशोक मारबल सहित संबंधित विभागों के अधिकारी-कर्मचारी मौजूद रहे।

In this sequence, the Sweep Core Committee meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Collector and District Election Officer Shri Abhijeet Singh. He instructed to identify the centers with low voting percentage during the last assembly elections and make a strategy to increase the voting percentage. The Collector directed the officers of the Sweep Committee to identify the polling booths located in rural areas with less than 70 percent voting and less than 65 percent voting in the booths of urban areas and run a special campaign to create awareness among the voters there. Collector In the meeting held today at 12 noon, Shri Singh gave instructions to conduct campaign activities with the aim of making the voters of the district aware and ensuring 100 percent voting. He said that in view of the summer season during voting, shade and drinking water should be compulsorily arranged in all the polling booths. Also, wheel chairs must be kept for disabled voters in polling stations. Apart from this, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, voters above 85 years of age and with more than 40 percent disability should be identified, so that voting facilities can be provided at their homes. He instructed through sector officers to conduct physical verification of minimum essential facilities like drinking water, shade, ramp, electricity and other essential facilities in each polling booth. The Collector directed to organize the sweep program keeping in view the annual examinations of the students of schools and colleges. Before this, District Panchayat CEO and SVEEP Nodal Officer Mr. Sumit Aggarwal told the officials of the concerned departments that necessary efforts should be made to ensure that the percentage of voting in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections does not become less than the previous assembly elections.
